Testimonials for Hooper Legal

BF, of Tweed Heads (Feb 17)

I came to see Gary Hooper in early 2017 to help me appeal against a driving disqualification that I got at Tweed Heads Local Court.  I am glad I did.  The disqualification would have forced me to close my business.  The appeal was successful and Gary was fantastic. I should have used him from the start.
Ben G, of Lismore (Sep 15):

One day in 2012, my ex-partner turned up at my front door and pushed her way inside.  I left. Then a few days later the police came to my work and just arrested me in front of everyone. It turns out my ex had told them I had assaulted her.

Gary Hooper represented me and after 2 hearing days the magistrate dismissed all of the charges. Then I decided to sue the police for unlawful arrest.  I got Gary to help me with that too.  The police denied they were in the wrong, but in the end the judge ordered them to pay me compensation and all of my legal fees. Gary fought hard for me all the way. I beat all the charges, cleared my name, and the money that the police paid me helped buy the boat that I'm living on now!

I crashed my car when I was driving home.  I was charged with a serious offence and there was a risk I would go to jail.  I got advice from Gary and he challenged the police forensic expert and the charge was dropped! I highly reccommend him.
Mr R Hearnshaw, of Lismore (Sep 15)

Back in 2008, I was at work and a customer started abusing me. I called the police. Instead of helping, they grilled me about why I called them. I got upset and I swore a bit.  So they arrested me for offensive language and then charged me with resist arrest.

Gary took the case on for me and in the end the magistrate dismissed the charges after the police gave evidence. He's the sort of lawyer that sticks with you.

Then Gary helped me with a claim against the police for the arrest. The police defended the claim at first but we ended up settling out of Court.  The terms are confidential, but I can say that I am very happy with everything Gary did for me.
Bede B, of Nimbin (Sep 15)

In 2015, I was couch-surfing at a friend's place when the police came around with a warrant to arrest some-one that wasn't there.  They saw some cannabis plants outside and ended up searching the place.

There was a lot of drugs hidden inside and also a gun under a bed. I told the police that they weren't mine but I was the only one there so they charged me anyway.

I got Gary Hooper about a week before the hearing. He picked the police case apart. Not only were the charges dismissed but they had to pay over $5,000 in legal costs.
Brendon R, of Goonellabah (Sep 15)

I am a sole parent with two young kids. It's no excuse but one night in 2014 I sort of let loose with some friends, had too much to drink, and went out in my car and did some very stupid and dangerous things.

I was charged and it looked like I could end up in prison.  Gary Hooper represented me and he negotiated a lesser charge with the DPP and then he helped persuade the magistrate to let me serve my sentence in the community. I believe he helped me stay out of jail.,
Matt B, of Lismore (Mar 17)

Thanks Gary for all your time and efforts... I'm very happy with the outcome... and if I ever need any legal matters in the future I will come see you.
